The capital of Dominica is Roseau located south-west on the island.
Other major cities are Portsmouth, Marigot, Saint Josph, La Plaine and Berekua.

Interesting places to visit are the Boiling Lake and Morne Diablotins.

The Boiling Lake is situated in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park. It is a flooded fumarole and is filled with bubbling greyish-blue water that is usually enveloped in a cloud of vapour.

Morne Diablotins is the highest mountain in Dominica and its height is 1,447 metres (4,747 feet). The mountain is volcanic, and erupted 30,000-40,000 years ago.
